Job summary

Jacobs is expanding its UK highways capability and seeks experienced Principal Engineers to lead the delivery of safe, practical and commercially sound highways design solutions for clients such as National Highways and Transport Scotland.

You will mentor engineers, guide design teams, drive process improvements through automation and collaborate with specialists across the UK and internationally to shape program outcomes and strengthen the highways & civils capability.

Qualifications

• Experience delivering local or major highways projects.
• Understanding of DMRB or international design standards.
• Strong knowledge of UK health and safety legislation.
• Ability to lead design teams and manage budgets.

Responsibilities

• Lead delivery of safe, practical highways design solutions for clients including National Highways and other major bodies.
• Guide design teams, solve technical challenges and meet quality, programme and budget commitments.
• Mentor engineers and support their development; improve design processes through automation.
• Collaborate with specialists across the UK and internationally.
