Job summary

Jacobs in the UK is growing its highways capability and is looking for experienced Highways professionals at Principal Engineer grade. You will lead the delivery of safe, practical highways design solutions for National Highways, Transport Scotland, the Welsh Government, and major contractors.

Depending on location, you could work on major transport programmes or complex projects across aviation and water. You will guide design teams, solve technical challenges and mentor engineers, supporting

Qualifications

• Experience in managing engineering design solutions in transportation.
• Technical ability to deliver local and major highways projects or land-side elements in adjacent markets.
• Familiarity with DMRB or international design standards.
• Understanding of UK health and safety legislation and a passion for safety.
• Ability to work independently within a global multi-disciplinary team.
• Experience in financial management and control of projects.
• Relevant professional qualification (degree in engineering / CEng / IEng) or equivalent experience.
