Job summary

Modal is seeking a People Operations Generalist for the UK to own day-to-day People Ops for the UK team, including onboarding, payroll coordination, and offboarding. You will be the main point of contact for UK employees and managers, partner with payroll and benefits providers, and help scale UK processes with the broader People team.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of People Operations or HR experience in fast-growing companies.
• Strong knowledge of UK payroll, benefits, pensions, and employee lifecycle processes.
• Based in London and able to work in the office five days a week.

Responsibilities

• Own day-to-day People Operations for UK employees (onboarding, changes, leave, offboarding).
• First point of contact for UK employees and managers.
• Coordinate with payroll, benefits, pension and external providers.
• Maintain accurate and compliant employee data and processes.
• Build and improve UK HR processes and self-service resources.
• Execute global People programs locally.
• Own London office operations and coordinate onsite interviews.
• Plan and support local employee events and initiatives.
