Job summary

Wallace Hind Selection, based in the UK, seeks a General Manager to lead the UK business with a hands‑on approach. You will drive sales strategy, develop the team, manage a multi‑million‑pound P&L and stay customer‑facing to generate new business and growth.

You will oversee operations, inventory and logistics, mentor staff, and report to the Group. This role offers an office‑based leadership position with occasional international travel within the UK market.

Qualifications

• Hands-on leader with a proven track record in selling technical products and solutions.
• Experience in manufacturing or distribution environments.
• Strong product‑oriented mindset and customer relationship focus.
• Experience managing a multi‑million‑pound P&L in an SME context.

Responsibilities

• Oversee all leadership elements for the business (Full P&L circa £10m t/o) including coaching and motivating.
• Develop the team of direct reports and oversee indirect reports; mentor and support.
• Carry out regular market analysis to monitor competition and economic indicators.
• Drive into new market focus areas and maximize growth opportunities; ensure inventory, logistics and assembly teams are led effectively.
• Lead operational excellence in inventory management and logistics/assembly leadership.
