Job Details

Salary: £26.07 - £29.72 per hour, depending on qualifications.

Grade: TUTLEC 1 - 4 depending on teaching qualifications and experience.

Contract: Permanent.

Hours per week are variable (as & when required) and subject to demand.

Role Overview

We are seeking engaging and committed individuals to join us as casual tutors to teach Health & Care Levels 1 & 2; you don't need to be able to teach both levels and we ask you to specify those you can teach within your supporting statement. You will be passionate about your subject, have previous and relevant industry experience and be keen to inspire our learners.

This role is an exciting opportunity to support Thurrock residents with developing their skills and confidence in a subject of interest to them in their everyday life and work.

Thurrock Adult Community College is the local authority's provider of adult education for Thurrock. Our main base is in the Old Court House in Grays, but we deliver courses across the borough.

Responsibilities

• Plan courses and lessons, create resources, teach lessons, and mark learners' work and give developmental feedback.
• Support learners in developing their skills and confidence.

Qualifications

• Experience of teaching adults is desirable.
• Level 2 qualifications in English and maths; ideally a Level 3 award in Education and Training.
• Qualification or experience within any subject you wish to teach.
• DBS Check at Enhanced Level with Children's Barred list required.
