Job summary

Smart Education are recruiting for a Tutor to work in Worcester, delivering 1:1 support to learners in home or residential settings, including LAC environments. The role focuses on developing personalised learning strategies for students outside mainstream education and helping with re-engagement in education.

Suitable candidates will hold QTS/QTLS/PGCE or have extensive tutoring experience in English, Maths and/or Science, plus experience with SEN/SEMH learners.

Qualifications

• Professional teaching qualifications (QTS / QTLS / PGCE), subject specialism, or extensive tutoring experience in English, Maths, and/or Science

Responsibilities

• Working 1:1 with students in a home or residential setting (including LAC environments)
• Developing personalised learning strategies for students out of mainstream education and support with re-engagement in education
• Adapting teaching approaches to suit a variety of backgrounds and learning needs using a creative and versatile teaching style

Skills

QTS / QTLS / PGCE (or extensive tutor)

Job Requirements of a Tutor

• Enhanced DBS on the update service (or willingness to obtain one)
