Job summary

Teaching Personnel Ltd is seeking experienced 1:1 Tutors and Teachers to support primary and secondary pupils across Northamptonshire. The role focuses on English, Maths and/or Science, delivering personalised tuition in schools during school hours.

Applicants should have at least 2 years of UK teaching or tutoring experience, a solid understanding of the UK National Curriculum, and be eligible to work in the UK. DBS checks or willingness to obtain one are required.

1:1 Tutor – Primary & Secondary | English, Maths & Science – Northamptonshire

TP Tutors, part of Teaching Personnel, is seeking experienced 1:1 Tutors and Teachers to support Primary and Secondary pupils across Northamptonshire and surrounding areas.

We are looking for tutors with strong subject knowledge in English, Maths and/or Science to provide personalised tuition in schools during school hours. This is an excellent opportunity to help pupils close learning gaps, build confidence and make academic progress.

Key Responsibilities

• Deliver engaging 1:1 tuition in school settings.
• Support Primary and Secondary pupils with English, Maths and/or Science.
• Plan lessons based on individual learning needs and curriculum requirements.

• Support GCSE preparation where appropriate.

Essential Requirements

• Minimum 2 years' UK teaching or tutoring experience.
• Experience working with Primary and/or Secondary pupils.
• Strong knowledge of English, Maths and/or Science.
• Understanding of the UK National Curriculum.
• Excellent communication and behaviour-management skills.
• Enhanced DBS on the Update Service, or willingness to obtain one.
• Right to work in the UK.
• Ability to travel to schools across Northamptonshire.

Desirable

• QTS, PGCE or recognised teaching qualification.
• SEND experience, including ASC, ADHD, SEMH or dyslexia.
• GCSE teaching/exam preparation experience.
• Experience with EHCPs, personalised learning and alternative provision.
