Job summary

Teaching Personnel in Brackley is seeking committed 1:1 tutors to provide personalised educational support in pupils' homes or school settings during school hours, with flexible part-time or full-time opportunities.

Applicants should have a minimum of two years’ teaching or tutoring experience, strong communication and behaviour management skills, and the ability to deliver differentiated lessons. A DBS check and right to work in the UK are required; QTS is desirable.

Qualifications

  • Minimum of 2 years' teaching or tutoring experience.
  • Experience working with children and young people in an educational setting.
  • QTS desirable but not essential for experienced tutors.
  • Excellent communication, organisation and behaviour management skills.
  • DBS check via Update Service (or willingness to obtain one).
  • Right to work in the UK; driving licence preferred for travel between locations.
  • Ability to deliver engaging and differentiated lessons.

Responsibilities

  • Deliver high-quality, engaging 1:1 tuition tailored to each pupil's needs.
  • Plan and prepare structured lessons that support learning goals and progress.
  • Adapt teaching approaches to suit different abilities and learning styles.
  • Build positive relationships with pupils, parents/carers, and schools.
  • Monitor, assess and record pupil progress; maintain safeguarding standards.
  • Travel between pupil locations may be required.

Location: Brackley and surrounding areas
Hours: Monday–Friday, school hours (term time only)
Contract: Flexible – Part-time / Full-time opportunities available
Pay: Competitive hourly rate (dependent on experience and qualifications)

We are looking for committed and enthusiastic 1:1 Tutors to provide personalised educational support to children and young people across Brackley and the surrounding areas. Tuition will be delivered in pupils' homes or school settings during school hours.

  • Deliver high-quality, engaging 1:1 tuition tailored to each pupil's individual needs.

  • Build positive and trusting relationships with pupils, parents/carers, and schools.
  • Monitor, assess, and record pupil progress regularly.
  • Maintain professional standards and follow safeguarding procedures at all times.
  • A minimum of 2 years' teaching or tutoring experience.
  • Experience working with children and young people in an educational setting.
  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) is desirable but not essential for experienced tutors.
  • Excellent communication, organisation, and behaviour management skills.
  • Ability to deliver engaging and differentiated lessons.

  • Right to work in the UK.
  • Full UK driving licence and access to a vehicle is preferred due to travel between pupil locations.
