Job summary

Teaching Personnel is seeking experienced 1:1 Tutors to provide personalised educational support in Rugby and surrounding areas. You will work with learners across Primary, Secondary and GCSE levels, tailoring instruction to meet individual needs and SEND/SEMH considerations.

Ideal candidates have UK teaching or tutoring experience, a UK curriculum background, and an enhanced DBS. Flexible, daytime hours around school schedules are available.

Qualifications

  • At least 2 years of UK teaching or tutoring experience.
  • Experience delivering the UK National Curriculum.
  • Strong communication and behaviour-management skills.
  • Ability to adapt quickly to different learners and circumstances.
  • Legal right to work in the UK.
  • Enhanced DBS on Update Service or willingness to obtain one.

Responsibilities

  • Delivering 1:1 tuition across Primary, Secondary and GCSE levels.
  • Teaching subjects in line with the UK National Curriculum.
  • Assessing learner needs and adapting lesson plans accordingly.
  • Supporting pupils with SEND, SEMH, EHCPs and barriers to learning.
  • Using creative and flexible approaches to improve engagement and motivation.
  • Building positive relationships and maintaining a calm, safe learning environment.
  • Helping learners develop confidence, independence and positive learning habits.
  • Monitoring progress and maintaining accurate session records.
  • Communicating effectively with schools, Local Authorities, parents/carers and relevant professionals.

Your Next Teaching Opportunity

TP Tutors is looking for experienced 1:1 Tutors to deliver personalised educational support to children and young people across Rugby and the surrounding areas.

These assignments are ideal for teachers and tutors who enjoy working closely with individual learners and adapting their teaching to meet different educational, behavioural and emotional needs.

You may be supporting pupils who are currently unable to access mainstream education, require additional academic intervention, or have SEND, SEMH needs or an EHCP.

The Role

You'll provide structured, engaging and supportive tuition tailored to each learner.

Your responsibilities will include:

  • Delivering 1:1 tuition across Primary, Secondary and GCSE levels.
  • Teaching subjects in line with the UK National Curriculum.
  • Assessing learner needs and adapting lesson plans accordingly.
  • Supporting pupils with SEND, SEMH, EHCPs and barriers to learning.

  • Providing consistent support to help learners achieve realistic and meaningful educational outcomes.
What We're Looking For

We're keen to hear from education professionals who are patient, adaptable and committed to helping young people progress.

You’ll need:

  • At least 2 years of UK teaching or tutoring experience.
  • Experience delivering the UK National Curriculum.
  • Strong communication and behaviour-management skills.
  • The ability to adapt quickly to different learners and circumstances.
  • A genuine interest in supporting children and young people.
  • Legal right to work in the UK.
  • An Enhanced DBS on the Update Service, or willingness to obtain one.

It would be advantageous to have:

  • QTS or another recognised teaching qualification.
  • Primary, Secondary or GCSE teaching experience.
  • SEND or SEMH experience.
  • Experience delivering intervention, alternative provision or 1:1 tuition.
