Job summary

Teaching Personnel Ltd. is looking for dedicated 1:1 Tutors in Towcester to provide personalized tuition across various settings. Ideal candidates will have a minimum of 2 years' teaching experience and knowledge of the UK National Curriculum.

Are you an experienced teacher or tutor looking for a rewarding opportunity to make a real difference to learners?

TP Tutors, part of Teaching Personnel, is seeking dedicated 1:1 Tutors to provide personalised tuition to children, young people and adult learners across Towcester and surrounding areas.

We welcome tutors with experience supporting Primary, Secondary, GCSE, Functional Skills and SEND learners. Tuition may take place in learners' homes, schools, community settings or alternative provisions, primarily during school hours, with some assignments available outside these hours depending on learner needs.

The Role

• Deliver engaging, personalised 1:1 tuition tailored to individual learning needs.

• Support learners across a range of ages and abilities, including Primary, Secondary, post-16 and adult learners.

• Plan and deliver lessons aligned with the learner's curriculum, qualification or learning level.

• Adapt teaching approaches to support individual needs, including SEND.

• Monitor progress and complete session reports.

• Build positive relationships with learners, families, schools and partner organisations.

• Help learners develop confidence, independence and a positive attitude towards education.

Essential Requirements

• Minimum 2 years' UK teaching or tutoring experience.

• Experience teaching Primary, Secondary, GCSE, Functional Skills and/or SEND.

• Good knowledge of the UK National Curriculum.

• Excellent communication, behaviour-management and relationship-building skills.

• Full UK driving licence and access to a vehicle, or reliable means of travelling between tuition locations.

• Enhanced DBS on the Update Service, or willingness to obtain one.

Desirable

• QTS, PGCE or another recognised teaching qualification.

• Experience supporting learners with SEND, including ASC, ADHD, SEMH, dyslexia and speech and language needs.

• Experience delivering tuition in homes, schools, colleges, community settings or alternative provisions.

• Knowledge and experience of EHCPs.

Location & Working Pattern

Most tuition is delivered Monday to Friday during school hours, although some assignments may be available outside these times. Travel to learners' homes, schools, community venues and alternative provisions across Towcester and surrounding areas is required.
