The Hampshire and Isle of Wight Healthcare NHS Foundation Trust is seeking a Trust Grade SHO Doctor in Forensic Psychiatry to join the Southfield Low Secure Unit at Tatchbury Mount. This full-time post supports inpatient forensic services across male and female wards, working within a multidisciplinary team that includes consultants, associate specialists, psychologists, nurses, and allied health professionals. The role involves direct clinical care for patients detained under the Mental Health Act, including assessment, treatment planning, medication management, risk evaluation, and collaboration with carers and ward staff. The post-holder will contribute to ward rounds, CPA meetings, academic teaching, audit, and CPD activities, with supervision provided by senior medical colleagues. The position offers opportunities to develop leadership, teaching, and research skills, alongside structured appraisal and job planning. With 10 programmed activities (8.5 DCC, 1.5 SPA), the role provides exposure to forensic psychiatry, rehabilitation, and community liaison.
