Job summary

The General Medical Council (GMC) is seeking Investigation Advisers to join the Triage team in Manchester. You will provide administrative and operational support, helping to determine which enquiries require formal investigation and ensuring they are progressed according to guidelines.

Successful candidates will use robust criteria to evaluate information, communicate clearly, and deliver excellent customer service in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• Good analytical skills with experience of assessing information using criteria, guidance and policies.
• Clear and effective communication, both written and verbal, with stakeholders and the public.

Responsibilities

• Review enquiries to decide if they raise Fitness to Practise concerns requiring investigation.
• Evaluate information and progress enquiries following established guidelines.
• Liaise with colleagues, medical professionals, the public and external organisations to manage enquiries and inform decisions.
