We offer flexibility through hybrid working, allowing you to split your time between our offices and remote work from home or elsewhere in the UK. A minimum of 3 days per week is required to be office-based.

The role

We are recruiting an ambitious Travel Sales Manager with a passion for travel and extensive travel experience to join our Shepherds Bush, London office.

Under the support and guidance of the Head of Programme, the Travel Sales Manager is responsible for delivering excellent sales and service results through a team of dedicated Country Specialists.

The role focuses on recruiting, training, managing, and motivating the team to maximize sales from incoming inquiries and to actively generate new leads when necessary.

Key responsibilities include:
  • Lead the sales team within your region with drive, energy, and urgency to ensure maximum sales from available leads.
  • Manage the performance of team members, from new starters to high performers.
  • Address underperformance promptly in collaboration with HR and the Head of Sales & Service.
  • Set and communicate individual targets in conjunction with HoSS and the Head of Programme.
  • Provide sales training and ongoing support to Country Specialists, ensuring their product knowledge is current.
  • Respond to operational and emergency situations in your region, including issues caused by suppliers, airlines, or unforeseen events, to ensure the best outcomes for clients.

Audley Travel operates a 7-day week experience for clients. Working hours are primarily between 9 am – 5:30 pm Monday to Friday, with one evening per week and some weekends, with corresponding days off. Rota schedules are shared quarterly to assist personal planning.

About you

You are proactive, results-driven, and experienced in managing successful sales teams. You have a proven track record of excellent sales and customer service, with strong organizational skills and the ability to handle a high workload. You are a confident communicator, resilient under pressure, and possess excellent customer service and problem-solving skills.

  • Comfortable leading and motivating others.
  • Passionate about travel and culturally aware.
  • Results-oriented, with negotiation skills with suppliers.
  • Experienced in customer service and complaint resolution.
  • Highly organized with attention to detail and multitasking abilities.
