Job summary

We are seeking an IT & Technology Trainer to Exeter-based role with travel across the South West. You’ll design and deliver engaging technology training for colleagues, focusing on Microsoft 365 apps and digital tooling.

You’ll create guides, run classroom and remote sessions, and coach staff with varying levels of technical confidence while supporting AI adoption and change management initiatives.

Qualifications

• Previous experience designing and delivering technology or IT training.
• Strong knowledge of Microsoft 365, especially Teams, Outlook, Word and Excel.
• Experience training people with varying levels of technical confidence.
• Ability to explain technical concepts clearly and without jargon.
• Experience creating engaging training materials and user guides.
• Understanding of digital transformation, technology adoption or change management.
• Knowledge of AI and its practical business applications.
• Knowledge of cybersecurity best practices and phishing awareness.

Responsibilities

• Designing and delivering structured technology training through classroom sessions, remote workshops and one-to-one coaching.
• Delivering training across Microsoft 365, particularly Teams, Outlook, Word and Excel.
• Creating accessible user guides, videos, quick-reference materials and other learning resources.
• Supporting the rollout and adoption of new systems and digital tools.
• Helping colleagues use AI and emerging technologies confidently, safely and effectively.
• Delivering cybersecurity best-practice and phishing-awareness training.
• Identifying skills gaps and training requirements across departments.
• Evaluating training effectiveness and adapting content to feedback and business needs.
• Working with IT to embed new technology across the organisation.
• Contributing to wider digital transformation and technology projects.
