Job summary

Cathcart Technology is seeking a hands-on Field Services Engineer to support customers across Scotland. You will combine remote service desk support with regular on-site visits, hardware installations and ongoing IT maintenance, acting as the local technical contact backed by a wider support team.

The role requires a valid UK driving licence and willingness to travel extensively within Scotland. Travel expenses are reimbursed weekly, and the salary is up to £35k with a range of benefits.

Qualifications

• Must own a vehicle and have a full UK driving licence.
• Based in central Scotland with travel across Scotland.
• Experience in IT support, service desk or managed services.
• Good knowledge of Microsoft 365, Windows 11, Intune and basic networking.
• Customer-focused with strong communication and troubleshooting skills.

Responsibilities

• Provide 1st line IT support remotely and onsite across Scotland.
• Troubleshoot Windows 11, Microsoft 365, Intune, laptops/desktops/mobile devices and printers.
• Support customer sites, hardware deployments, user onboarding and equipment upgrades.
• Maintain IT asset records, documentation and service tickets.
• Build strong customer relationships and work with internal technical teams.
