Job summary

Cathcart Technology is seeking a hands-on Field Services Engineer to support customers across Scotland. This role combines remote service desk assistance with regular on-site visits, hardware installations and ongoing IT maintenance, acting as the local technical contact backed by a wider support team.

You will travel frequently; all travel expenses are reimbursed. The role offers 37.5 hours per week on a rotating pattern, with remote working and a focus on customer relationships, Windows 11,

Qualifications

• Experience in IT support, service desk or managed services.
• Own a vehicle and full UK driving licence.
• Based in central Scotland with willingness to travel across Scotland.
• Eligibility to obtain and maintain Security Check (SC) clearance.

Responsibilities

• Provide 1st line IT support remotely and onsite across Scotland.
• Troubleshoot Windows 11, Microsoft 365, Intune, laptops, desktops, mobile devices and printers.
• Support customer sites, hardware deployments, user onboarding and equipment upgrades.
• Maintain IT asset records, documentation and service tickets.
• Build strong customer relationships and work closely with internal technical teams.
