Recent retail travel agency sales experience is ESSENTIAL for this position and personal travel experience alone does not meet the requirements. You will build relationships, research and book package holidays, tailor-made itineraries, cruises, flights,

Qualifications

• Recent experience selling holidays within a retail travel agency.
• Confidence using travel reservation systems and working with tour operators and suppliers.
• Good worldwide geographical knowledge and an understanding of different holiday products.
• Strong customer service skills and an ability to build lasting client relationships.

Responsibilities

• Build relationships with new and existing customers, understanding their needs and recommending suitable holidays.
• Research, quote and book package holidays, tailor-made itineraries, cruises, flights, accommodation and short breaks.
• Use tour operator and reservation systems to manage enquiries and bookings accurately.
• Handle payments, travel documentation, amendments and cancellations.
• Work with suppliers to secure competitive prices and added value.
• Deliver friendly, professional customer service in person, by telephone and by email.
• Keep your destination knowledge and understanding of travel products up to date.
• Support colleagues and contribute to the smooth running of a busy retail branch.
