Job summary

Travel Trade Recruitment is seeking an experienced Travel Agent for a retail travel store near Tamworth. The role offers a five-day Mon-Sat rota (0900-1700) with no Sundays, a competitive starting salary dependent on experience, and a monthly bonus.

The ideal candidate will have at least 12 months travel agency experience and will be skilled in creating and selling package, tailormade and luxury holidays and flights, including UK holidays.

Established independent Travel Agency with a friendly team of Travel Consultants, who pride themselves on offering personalised service and high-quality holidays at the most competitive prices, are seeking an experienced Travel Agent to join the team. Working in their retail travel store near Tamworth, you will book a huge variety of worldwide holidays, selling a variety of Tour Operators. Working five days on a Mon-Sat rota 0900-1700 (No Sundays!), competitive starting salary, dependent on experience, plus monthly bonus. The ideal candidate will have at least 12 months travel agency experience.

Job Description:

• Be a true ambassador of the company, demonstrating exceptional interpersonal skills, building rapport with all customers and colleagues and always possess a can-do attitude
• Create and sell package, tailormade and luxury holidays/ flights to all destinations including holidays in the UK.
• Maximise revenue and profit by cross selling and adding on relevant ancillaries.
• Operate the FE Bureau when required.
• Be target focused
• Perform general administration tasks
• Work with the accounts team to ensure payments and made.
• Ability to work well as part of a team, to be open minded towards ideas and views of others as well as welcoming feedback.
• Contribute to building team spirit and be proud of the service you provide.

EXPERIENCE REQUIRED

We are seeking someone who has experience of working in a retail travel agency, either currently or previously and keen to return.

The Package:

• Salary from £25k pa (negotiable/dependent on experience) plus monthly bonus based on branch performance.
