Job summary

Wiltshire Council is recruiting a Homeless Early Intervention Officer to provide outreach advice and support across Wiltshire, including hubs in Trowbridge, Chippenham and Salisbury. You will help care-experienced young people move toward independence, helping them manage accommodation, sustain tenancies and reduce homelessness.

You will work with colleagues to maximise income, develop budgeting skills, and connect customers with essential services, using a trauma-informed approach to navigate

Qualifications

• Experience in outreach and supporting communities across a county.
• Ability to work with vulnerable groups and care-experienced young people.

Responsibilities

• Provide outreach advice and support in Wiltshire communities.
• Support care-experienced young people moving toward independent living and tenancy sustainment.
• Empower customers to understand tenure rights, maintain accommodation and prevent homelessness.
• Use trauma-informed approaches to help clients navigate housing challenges and access services.
