Job summary

Wiltshire Council is seeking a Senior Homeless Early Intervention Officer to deliver frontline support for households facing housing difficulties. You will assist in preventing homelessness, coordinating with welfare benefits teams, and working with multi-agency partners to secure housing outcomes for vulnerable customers.

Qualifications

• Advanced knowledge of welfare benefits and personal finances.
• Experience addressing rent arrears and advising on housing costs.
• Proven ability to collaborate with multiple agencies to aid clients.

Responsibilities

• Support customers at risk of tenancy failure or homelessness.
• Assist Homeless Early Intervention Officers in preventing homelessness.
• Provide advice on welfare benefits, personal finance and rent arrears for complex cases.
• Collaborate with partner agencies to coordinate housing solutions for vulnerable households.
• Deliver excellent customer care and ensure sensitive handling of cases.
• Supervise or mentor staff as required within the team.
