Job summary

Aspire People is recruiting on behalf of an established Alternative Provision in Rochdale for a passionate and dedicated Teacher to deliver NCFE English and Maths qualifications, alongside PSHE, to KS3 and KS4 learners.

This specialist setting supports vulnerable learners through a trauma-informed, relationship-led approach, helping them rebuild confidence, re-engage with education and achieve positive futures.

Qualifications

• Hold Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent.
• Experience teaching English and/or Maths.
• Experience with SEMH or SEND needs.
• Commitment to safeguarding and inclusive practice.

Responsibilities

• Deliver high-quality English and Maths lessons to KS3 and KS4 learners.
• Teach NCFE qualifications and support learners towards recognised outcomes.
• Deliver engaging PSHE sessions that support personal development.
• Assess starting points and plan personalised learning pathways.
• Monitor, track and report on learner progress.
• Adapt teaching to meet SEMH, SEND and additional learning needs.
• Promote confidence, independence and positive engagement with education.
• Create a calm, structured and inclusive learning environment.
• Support learners through positive, relational practice.
• Work collaboratively with families, professionals and referring schools.
