Job summary

Prospero Teaching seeks a patient KS3 tutor to support a Year 9 student re-engaging with education in the UK. The role focuses on English and Maths, with an emphasis on building confidence, trust, and positive relationships.

The tutor will provide up to 15 hours weekly, using baseline assessments to tailor personalised learning plans and track progress toward academic and personal outcomes.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 6 months' experience in education, childcare, or related setting.
• Experience supporting children with ADHD and ASD.
• Ability to deliver a trauma-informed approach to learning.
• Capable of conducting baseline assessments to identify gaps in knowledge.
• Ability to develop and implement personalised learning programmes.

Responsibilities

• Provide KS3 English and Maths support to a Year 9 student.
• Deliver learning sessions up to 15 hours per week.
• Build rapport, monitor progress, and adapt strategies as needed.
• Support emotional wellbeing and confidence in learning.
