Job summary

Aspire People is recruiting a dedicated Teacher to deliver NCFE English and Maths with PSHE elements to KS3/KS4 learners in a trauma-informed setting in Rochdale. You will work with a small cohort, focusing on personalised progression and safeguarding.

The role requires QTS or equivalent and experience with SEMH/SEND. You will join a supportive team committed to helping vulnerable students rebuild confidence and achieve outcomes.

Qualifications

• Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent is required.
• Experience teaching English and Maths is preferred.
• Experience with SEMH or SEND learners is highly valued.
• Strong behaviour management and safeguarding awareness are essential.

Responsibilities

• Deliver high-quality English and Maths lessons to KS3 and KS4.
• Deliver NCFE qualifications and support learners toward outcomes.
• Deliver PSHE sessions to support personal development.
• Assess starting points and plan personalised learning pathways.
• Monitor, track and report learner progress.
• Adapt teaching to meet SEMH, SEND and additional learning needs.
• Promote confidence, independence and positive engagement with education.
• Create a calm, structured and inclusive learning environment.
• Support learners through positive, relational practice.
• Work collaboratively with families, professionals and referring schools.
