Job summary

Housing Limited seeks a dedicated Support Worker to provide strength-based and trauma-informed support to residents. You will build trusting relationships, create outcome-focused plans and offer 1:1 sessions and signposting to promote independence.

You will manage a caseload, help residents with tenancy documents and benefits, and uphold safeguarding standards within a YMCA-partnered, homelessness-focused environment.

Qualifications

• Experience using strength-based approaches in social care.
• Trauma-informed practice in supporting vulnerable individuals.
• Ability to manage a caseload and track engagement.
• Safeguarding knowledge and awareness in community settings.

Responsibilities

• Provide 1:1 support sessions and signpost residents to relevant services.
• Develop outcome-focused support plans with residents.
• Assist residents to understand tenancy documentation and benefits.
• Support residents to engage with tailored activities to build independence.
• Maintain safeguarding standards for residents and staff.
