YMCA DownsLink Group in Horsham is seeking a Supported Housing Support Worker to manage a caseload of residents. You will support housing compliance, rent management, and safeguarding while coaching young people toward independent living.

The role requires trauma-informed practice, strong communication, and the ability to work both autonomously and as part of a team. Training and induction are provided; duties include lone-working.

Formación

• Confident in record-keeping for residents and operations.
• Clear verbal and written communication with stakeholders.
• Ability to build and maintain relationships with all stakeholders.
• Ability to work autonomously while contributing to a team.
• Proficient IT and keyboard skills; comfortable with documentation.

Responsabilidades

• Manage occupancy agreements and housing compliance for residents.
• Promote rent payments and financial obligation awareness.
• Maintain up-to-date knowledge of housing legislation and welfare benefits.
• Respond to breaches of agreement and arrears using restorative approaches.
• Coach residents to articulate goals and develop independent living skills.
• Encourage personal development and community engagement; signpost services.
• Maintain client records in In-Form detailing progress, risks, and outcomes.
• Be prepared for lone-working with induction and training.
