Job summary

Targeted Provision is seeking SEND tutors and teachers in the UK to work with schools and local authorities, delivering Maths, English or Science to young people with SEND/SEMH needs. The role supports disengaged and vulnerable learners in a flexible, trauma-informed setting.

Qualifications

• Experience: 2+ years teaching experience, ideally working with SEND, SEMH, MLD, SLD, and/or PMLD in a holistic and trauma-informed way
• Subjects: Familiarity teaching English, Maths, and/or Science
• Qualifications: Qualified Teacher Status (QTS / QTLS)
• Compliance: Enhanced DBS (we can facilitate this if needed) and 2+ professional references
• Location: You must be based in the UK with the right to work in the UK, even for remote / online jobs
• Safeguarding: Knowledge of safeguarding and creating a safe learning environment

Responsibilities

• Provide in-person, online / remote, and hybrid Maths, English, or Science tuition to children, teenagers, and young people with SEMH and SEND needs
• Support pupils referred by local authorities and schools by planning and delivering flexible, trauma-informed tutoring and mentoring
• Plan and report for lessons and provide regular feedback on student progress
• We are on a mission to raise the standard of education provided to young people with SEND and SEMH needs; support those with MLD, SLD, and PMLD
