Job summary

Prospero Teaching is seeking a dedicated tutor to join an existing provision in the BA7 area, supporting a young person in a 2:1 setting.

The role focuses on learners with SEN/SEMH needs and trauma-informed approaches, with emphasis on emotional regulation and literacy/maths interventions.

Candidates should have at least six months' experience in education and a proven ability to support learners with challenging behaviours in community-based settings.

Qualifications

• Minimum 6 months' experience working within education.
• Demonstrable experience supporting learners with SEN and SEMH needs.
• Experience implementing trauma-informed and relational approaches.
• Ability to support emotional regulation and emotional literacy development.

Responsibilities

• Provide 2:1 tutoring alongside another tutor to support a young person.
• Deliver structured literacy and maths interventions.
• Support routines and relationship-based practice.
• Reinforce learning through frequent revisits to aid retention and progress.
• Work within a community-based setting in BA7 area.
