Job summary

Manchester Settlement seeks a compassionate Housing Support Worker to support young asylum seekers aged 16–25 in Ofsted-registered accommodation. You will deliver person-centred, trauma-informed support, contribute to individual plans and maintain accurate records in line with policies.

The role is a 1-year fixed term contract, 35 hours per week, with on-call rotation and potential extension. DBS check and driving license are required, with a focus on independence and rights advocacy.

Qualifications

• Strong communication with young people, colleagues and partners.
• Experience with safeguarding, trauma-informed care and professional boundaries.
• Experience supporting care leavers and UASC is desirable.
