Job summary

North Wales Housing is seeking a Housing Support Officer to contribute to a trauma-informed, person-centred support service for residents in Conwy/Gwynedd. You will work to standards set by NWH, commissioners, funders and stakeholders, reporting to the Supported Housing Manager.

The role focuses on accident prevention, safeguarding, accurate record-keeping and supporting clients with housing-related claims, with a commitment to inclusive, social engagement and community wellbeing.

Qualifications

• Awareness of professional boundaries
• Understanding safeguarding principles for children and vulnerable adults
• Awareness of the support needs of vulnerable people
• Experience in a client-centred environment
• Experience handling confidential information

Responsibilities

• Ensuring the safety of the building and residents
• Acting as first point of contact for incidents and liaising with staff, emergency services and agencies
• Keeping accurate records and handing over to staff
• Assisting clients with housing and benefits claims
• Providing engagement activities to promote social inclusion
