Job summary

KM Recruitment is seeking a Learner Engagement and Support Coach for a centre-based role. You will welcome learners, deliver induction sessions, and conduct initial assessments to help them progress.

The role uses trauma-informed approaches to support learners with ACEs and other barriers, promoting course opportunities and providing pastoral guidance to maximise engagement and achievement. You will record outcomes, maintain learner records, and liaise with partner organisations to support

Qualifications

• Experience supporting learners with additional learning needs and barriers to learning.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• GCSE English and Maths (or equivalent) required.

Responsibilities

• Welcome learners into education, deliver induction sessions, and conduct initial assessments.
• Apply trauma-informed approaches to support learners with ACEs and barriers to learning.
• Promote education opportunities and help learners select courses aligned to goals and career aspirations.
• Provide pastoral support and guidance to maximise engagement, retention and achievement.
• Monitor attendance and participation, working with internal teams to re-engage at-risk learners.
• Record assessment outcomes accurately in internal systems and obtain previous learning records.
• Maintain accurate learner records, registers, and enrolment documentation as required.
• Liaise with internal and external stakeholders, awarding and partner organisations, to support progression.
