Job summary

Teaching Personnel is seeking an enthusiastic Learning and Engagement Mentor for a Bath school to support pupils with additional needs and help them engage with education. • Experience applying coaching skills to support learning and engagement.
• Ability to build trust and positive relationships with pupils.
• Patience, resilience and adaptability in classroom settings.

Responsibilities

• Provide in‑class support to pupils with additional needs and help them access learning.
• Build positive relationships with pupils who face barriers to learning.
• Support pupils on tailored timetables and help them transition between activities and lessons.
• Use sport, physical activity or outdoor activities to support emotional regulation and wellbeing.
• Monitor pupil progress and share observations with colleagues.
• Collaborate with teachers and SEND staff to ensure consistent support.
