Job summary

Dibden Park School is seeking a Bespoke Teacher in Southampton to provide highly personalised, trauma-informed teaching for pupils who may find traditional classrooms challenging. You will create individualised learning programmes that build engagement and emotional regulation while supporting pupils to make meaningful progress, both academically and personally.

The role will be based at the school but will primarily involve teaching off site to support pupils who cannot access the classroom,

Responsibilities

• Deliver bespoke education plans reflecting learners’ needs and aspirations.
• Plan and teach engaging lessons across curriculum areas with adaptable approach.
• Support inclusion and wellbeing to build confidence and belonging.
• Monitor progress and update learning targets with clarity.
• Collaborate with colleagues to integrate education with day-to-day care.
• Use positive behaviour approaches to promote calm, safe learning environments.
• Contribute to reviews and documentation with families and professionals.
• Maintain high expectations while remaining flexible to individual circumstances.
