First Steps Together is a growing group of specialist independent schools delivering support for children and young people with SEND, SEMH and complex presentations. We are seeking a compassionate, resilient Behaviour Support Mentor to join and make a real difference to our pupils.

You will work one-to-one, in small groups and within lessons, applying relational, restorative and trauma-informed approaches to help pupils regulate behaviour and engage in learning.

Formación

• Experience of working with children or young people with SEND, additional needs or behavioural challenges.
• Calm, resilient and consistent under pressure.
• Patience, empathy and belief in every pupil’s capacity to succeed.

Responsabilidades

• Working one-to-one, in small groups and within lessons, provide personalised support to improve behaviour for learning, engagement and inclusion.
• Build positive relationships with pupils, understand their individual needs and triggers, and help them develop strategies to regulate their behaviour.
• Use relational, restorative and trauma-informed approaches to support pupils in re-engaging with learning.
