Job summary

Cheshire West and Chester Council invites an Engineer to join the newly established Feasibility and Detailed Design Team. You will support development and delivery of highway and transportation schemes, under the direction of Principal Engineers, contributing technical assessments, design work and stakeholder engagement across a varied programme.

Qualifications

• Experience in highway, transportation or civil engineering.
• Ability to apply engineering judgement to deliver practical and innovative solutions.
• Strong communication and stakeholder engagement would be advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Support the development, design and delivery of highway and transportation schemes.
• Prepare technical reports, designs, specifications and cost estimates.
• Undertake engineering assessments, inspections and analysis to develop practical solutions.
• Collaborate with colleagues, stakeholders, contractors and external organisations.
• Assist with project delivery from feasibility through to construction.
• Support consultation activities and help incorporate community views into scheme development.
