Job summary

Cheshire West and Chester Council is seeking enthusiastic Engineers to join the Feasibility and Detailed Design Team. You will contribute to the development and delivery of highway and transportation schemes from concept through to construction, applying practical engineering solutions and engaging with stakeholders.

Working with Principal Engineers and a multidisciplinary team, you will develop schemes for active travel, highway improvements and public realm projects that enhance connectivity,

Qualifications

• Experience in highway, transportation or civil engineering.
• Proactive team player with strong communication.
• Experience in highway design and stakeholder engagement advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Support development, design and delivery of highway and transportation schemes.
• Prepare technical reports, designs, specifications and cost estimates.
• Undertaking engineering assessments and analysis to develop practical solutions.
• Collaborate with colleagues, contractors and external organisations.
• Assist with project delivery from feasibility through to construction.
• Support consultation activities and consider community views.
