Staffordshire County Council's Highways Development Management team seeks a Chartered Civil/Transport professional to support transport planning within planning applications and sustainable street design for Staffordshire. You will assess highway implications, provide specialist advice, and contribute to project delivery.

The role offers hybrid working and opportunities to engage in pre-application discussions, attend planning committees, and assist with appeals on medium to large scale

Formación

• Chartered or Incorporated Civil Engineer status or relevant graduate level qualification with transport planning experience.
• Experience with planning applications and S278/S38 agreements.
• Experience working with internal and external bodies and multi-disciplinary teams.

Responsabilidades

• Prepare and issue comments, advice and recommendations on highway and transportation aspects of planning applications.
• Audit Transport Assessments and Travel Plans using GIS and accessibility software.
• Promote pre-application discussions with developers to aid sustainable estate layouts/designs.
• Attend LPA planning committee to defend replies as statutory consultee.
• Prepare and give evidence in appeals and court proceedings under Town and Country Planning Acts.
• Assist in implementing Development Plan Policies and Staffordshire Local Transport Plan.
