Job summary

Culina Group Limited in Telford is seeking a Transport Support Operator to join the local Transport team on a full-time permanent basis.

Responsibilities include debriefing drivers, handling timesheets and PODs, and providing general admin support. Salary is £27,119 per year plus a £1,000 attendance bonus, with 4 on 4 off night shifts (6pm–6am).

Responsibilities

• Debrief drivers daily and support Transport team administration.
• Check timesheets and ensure PODs are completed and returned.
• Scan and store PODs using document management system.
• Prepare drivers’ wallets and issue delivery notes in drop sequence.
• Print despatch notes and replenish despatch paper.
• Answer telephone and assist with enquiries.
• Download drivers’ tachographs.
• Communicate ETAs to Customer Services.
• Maintain and update spreadsheets (change-overs, run summaries, trailer checks).
• Depart loads using Transport Management System (TMS).
• Ensure uplifts are dispatched in correct loads.

Job Description

We have a great opportunity for a Transport Support Operator to join our Telford Transport team on a full time permanent basis!

This position is responsible for debriefing drivers on a daily basis alongside providing general administration support to the Transport team.

Salary: £27,119 per annum, plus £1,000 attendance bonus.

Working hours: 4 on 4 off nights, 6pm-6am.

Key Duties of a Transport Support Operator

• Correctly debriefing drivers.
• Checking all timesheets for correct completion and ensuring all PODs are returned completed correctly.
• Scanning and storing PODs using Culina’s document management system.
• Preparing drivers’ wallets and issuing delivery notes in drop sequence plus any other relevant delivery information.
• Printing all despatch notes and replenishing despatch paper as required.
• Answering the telephone and assisting with any enquiries.
• Downloading drivers’ cards / tachographs.
• Ensuring all estimated time of arrivals (ETAs) are communicated to Customer Services.
• Consistently updating all spreadsheets including, but not limited to; change-overs, run summaries and trailer check sheets.
• Departing loads using Transport Management System (TMS).
• Ensuring all uplifts are despatched in correct loads.
