Job summary

Culina Group Limited is seeking a Transport Support Operator to join the Stafford Transport team on a full-time permanent basis. You will provide administrative support and accurate data, working to deadlines to help drive the site’s success.

Duties include handling timesheets, PODs, driver debriefs, and document management, with a focus on efficient logistics operations. The role offers a salary of £26,825 per annum plus £1,890 night shift allowance, with 4 on 4 off nights from 7pm to 7am.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Debrief drivers accurately and promptly.
• Check timesheets and ensure PODs are complete.
• Scan and store PODs in document system.
• Prepare drivers’ wallets and issue delivery notes.
• Print despatch notes and replenish despatch paper.
• Answer phone and assist enquiries.
• Download drivers’ tachographs.
• Communicate ETAs to Customer Services.
• Update spreadsheets (run summaries, change-overs, etc.).
• Depart loads using TMS and dispatch uplifts.

Job Description

We have a great opportunity for a Transport Support Operator to join our Stafford Transport team on a full time permanent basis!

As a Transport Support Operator you will be responsible for providing administrative support and accurate data, with the ability to work to deadlines in order to contribute to the overall success of the site.

Salary: £26,825 per annum, plus £1,890 night shift allowance.

Working hours: 4 on 4 off nights, 7pm-7am.

Key Duties of a Transport Support Operator

• Correctly debriefing drivers.
• Checking all timesheets for correct completion and ensuring all PODs are returned completed correctly.
• Scanning and storing PODs using Culina’s document management system.
• Preparing drivers’ wallets and issuing delivery notes in drop sequence plus any other relevant delivery information.
• Printing all despatch notes and replenishing despatch paper as required.
• Answering the telephone and assisting with any enquiries.
• Downloading drivers’ cards / tachographs.
• Ensuring all estimated time of arrivals (ETAs) are communicated to Customer Services.
• Consistently updating all spreadsheets including, but not limited to; change-overs, run summaries and trailer check sheets.
• Departing loads using Transport Management System (TMS).
• Ensuring all uplifts are despatched in correct loads.

Qualifications

• Previous experience in Administration.
• Good attention to detail and accuracy.
• Excellent communication skills.
• Ability to work efficiently and accurately under pressure.
• Effectively prioritise work load in order to meet set deadlines.
• Good standard of computer literacy, particularly MS Office e.g. PowerPoint, Word and Excel.
• Able to work as part of a team or individually.
