Job summary

Culina Logistics is seeking a Transport Operations Support to provide general administration to the Transport Department. You will debrief drivers, check timesheets, ensure PODs are complete, and manage despatch notes within Culina’s systems.

The role requires attention to detail, clear communication, and teamwork. The night shift runs 19:00–03:30 on a 5 on/2 off pattern, with a salary of £31,687.53 per year.

Responsibilities

• Debriefing drivers accurately and timely.
• Checking timesheets and ensuring PODs are complete.
• Scanning and storing PODs in the document management system.
• Preparing drivers’ wallets and issuing delivery notes.
• Printing despatch notes and replenishing papers.
• Answering calls and handling enquiries.
• Downloading drivers’ tachographs/cards.
• Communicating ETAs to Customer Services.
• Updating spreadsheets for run summaries and checks.
• Departing loads using the Transport Management System.
• Ensuring uplifts are dispatched in correct loads.

Job Description

Transport Operations Support will provide general administration support to the Transport Department.

Salary: £31,687.53 per annum.

Shift: 5 on 2 off nights, 19.00-03.30

Key Duties of a Transport Support Operator

• Correctly debriefing drivers.
• Checking all timesheets for correct completion and ensuring all PODs are returned completed correctly.
• Scanning and storing PODs using Culina’s document management system.
• Preparing drivers’ wallets and issuing delivery notes in drop sequence plus any other relevant delivery information.
• Printing all despatch notes and replenishing despatch paper as required.
• Answering the telephone and assisting with any enquiries.
• Downloading drivers’ cards / tachographs.
• Ensuring all estimated time of arrivals (ETAs) are communicated to Customer Services.
• Consistently updating all spreadsheets including, but not limited to; change-overs, run summaries and trailer check sheets.
• Departing loads using Transport Management System (TMS).
• Ensuring all uplifts are despatched in correct loads.

Qualifications

• Previous experience in a similar role.
• Attention to detail/ accuracy.
• Excellent communication skills in order to deliver accurate information.
• Able to work efficiently and accurately under pressure.
• Effectively prioritise work load in order to meet set deadlines.
• Computer literate, particularly MS Office applications i.e. PowerPoint, Word, Excel or equivalent.
• Able to work as part of a team or individually.
• Able to work effectively and communicate to the correct level.
