Job summary

XPO are recruiting a Transport Supervisor based at Hatfield to support our Arla contract. You will work Sunday to Thursday, 08:00–16:00, overseeing daily fleet operations, reviewing VOR lists, and ensuring vehicles are available and compliant for service.

This is a hands-on role on a growing site with real development opportunities. Key duties include managing fleet damage repairs, producing daily and weekly VOR KPIs, coordinating peak deliveries, and maintaining vehicle files.

We're currently recruiting for a Fleet Supervisor to be based at Hatfield alongside our customer Arla.

Work Schedule & Compensation

You will be working Sunday - Thursday 08:00-16:00.

What You'll Do

On a Typical Day

• Review VOR lists every AM and PM, challenge any vehicle in VMU for more than 2 days.
• Provide reliable daily and weekly VOR KPIs.
• Manage fleet damage repairs with bodyshops and suppliers.
• Undertake regular spot condition inspections.
• Establish fleet requirements for peaks, book, arrange delivery, and off-hire in the most efficient manner.

Compliance

• Ensure all vehicles are operated on the road "In service".
• Ensure MOT pass rate is 100%.
• Report any failures to the fleet engineer and fleet manager.
• Provide an internal audit of all vehicle compliance processes.
• Ensure defect processes are correctly followed.Oversee admin to maintain all vehicle files.
• Brief management on new regulations regarding vehicles, maintenance, etc.

Additional Responsibilities

• Produce daily 08:00 and 16:00 accurate and complete VOR reports.
• Proactively chase suppliers of VOR equipment, especially tail lift and fridges.
• Record conversations and advise transport management of long-term issues and potential costs.
