Job summary

XPO Logistics is hiring a Transport Coordinator at our Tamworth site to handle customer delivery queries, coordinate schedules, and provide cost estimates for same-day or ad-hoc shipments. The role is full-time and permanent, with Monday to Friday hours and some holiday coverage.

Salary up to £28,500 plus 25 days’ holiday, pension and additional perks. You will use SHARP and MS Office to keep logs, produce end-of-day reports, and manage PODs while maintaining accurate records and clear

• Experience in a transport, logistics or distribution office environment.
• Strong organisational skills and ability to manage multiple tasks.
• Confident using transport systems and Microsoft Office.
• Good communication with drivers, subcontractors, customers and internal teams.
• Proactive attitude and willingness to learn wider transport and supervisory duties.
• Ability to work under pressure and meet daily deadlines.

Responsibilities

• Deal with customer delivery queries as they arise

• Complete KPI’s Weekly and Monthly
• Use SHARP to gather accurate delivery information
• Keep accurate logs of subcontractor and ad-hoc activity
• Maintain and work through POD backlogs where applicable
• Keep the POD log up to date and chase outstanding PODs
• Issue start and end of day reports to customers
• Carry out general office administration including filing, scanning, and document control

What You’ll Do On a Typical Day
