Transport Supervisor - Cardiff

We are seeking a Transport Supervisor to join our busy transport operation at our Cardiff site, supporting our Euroclad contract. You will ensure the timely and safe dispatch of drivers, supporting the Operations Manager in compliance, safety, and operational efficiency.

Pay, Benefits, and Perks:

Salary up to £35,000 per annum, with 25 days holiday (plus bank holidays) and options to purchase additional days. Benefits include high street discounts, a salary sacrifice car scheme, cycle to work scheme, workplace pension, and more.

Key Responsibilities:

• Support the Operations Manager with compliance and safety during shifts, deputising when necessary.
• Assist in executing daily delivery and collection plans, managing resources and updating customers.
• Ensure adherence to processes and procedures, maintaining a safe environment.
• Distribute daily run schedules to drivers, validate runs, and close them down.
• Manage safety and ensure staff are trained and compliant with company procedures.
• Dispatch drivers on time to meet SLA requirements.
• Manage VOR/Defect logs and coordinate breakdown services.
• Act as the initial site response in incidents, liaising with Euroclad and the Transport Manager.

Requirements for Success:

• Experience in a fast-paced environment requiring quick thinking.
• Supervisory experience within a complex transport setting.
• Understanding of transport compliance and driver hours.
• Computer literacy for email communication, dispatching, and reporting.
• Leadership and team-building skills.
• Experience with time-critical operations; transport experience with C+E drivers is a plus.
