Shift Patterns: Daytime only, with weekends off and weekends on a rotational basis

DHL, an award-winning leading supply chain business, is seeking a Transport Shift Manager to coordinate our daily logistics requirements. The ideal candidate should possess comprehensive knowledge of supply chain management practices and a solid understanding of warehouse procedures, including storing goods, dispatching orders, and tracking transportation vehicles.

Responsibilities

1. Assist operational management by managing and generating shipping requirements for distribution routes from warehouse to end-user, maintaining accurate performance reports for your shift.
2. Manage and implement productivity improvements by communicating job expectations to team members, ensuring all deadlines are met safely and efficiently, while maintaining high standards.
3. Track and trace shipping orders using digital in-house tracking software, ensuring compliance with legislation and record-keeping standards.
4. Monitor recruitment levels and initiate staff training as needed, maintaining up-to-date records in line with company policies.

Candidate Requirements

• Management experience (desirable but not essential)
• Comprehensive knowledge of supply chain practices
• Proficiency with logistics software packages
• Excellent organizational and problem-solving skills, with the ability to manage, organize, and train team members
