Shift patterns: Monday - Friday, late shift 12noon - 10pm

DHL, an award-winning leading supply chain business, is seeking a Transport Shift Manager to play a vital role in coordinating our daily logistics requirements. To succeed in this role, you should have comprehensive knowledge of supply chain management practices and a demonstrative understanding of warehouse procedures, including storing goods, dispatching orders, and tracking transportation vehicles.

What does the role entail?

• Managing and generating shipping requirements for distribution routes, from warehouse to end-user, maintaining precise and up-to-date performance reports for your designated shift.
• Implementing productivity improvements by communicating job expectations to direct reports, ensuring all deadlines are met safely within allocated time frames while maintaining standards of excellence.
• Tracking and tracing shipping orders using digital in-house tracking software, ensuring compliance with legislation and proper record-keeping.
• Monitoring recruitment levels and initiating staff training as needed, maintaining up-to-date records in line with company policies.

• Previous practical experience as a Transport Manager within a logistics environment — Essential
• Comprehensive knowledge of supply chain practices

• A recognized qualification in Supply Chain Management or Logistics is a plus
