About the Role

As a Transport Shift Manager, you'll play a crucial role in our distribution centre, ensuring our operation runs smoothly and efficiently twenty-four hours a day, seven days a week. You'll need knowledge of transport regulations and drive compliance within the team. You will champion the unique Asda culture and be a role model to your team, ensuring they deliver the right products to the right store at the right time.

You will be responsible for driving performance and fostering teamwork. You will deliver coaching, support, and development within your team, holding regular team ‘huddles' to keep your team engaged and informed.

About You

Experience in a similar distribution operation is essential, with a proven track record of achieving KPIs. You should thrive in a fast-paced environment, be adaptable to change, and be passionate about quality and process adherence. Experience working with trade unions is also required.

You should be friendly, proactive, and eager to work with your team to deliver results. You will be an enthusiastic coach, mentor, motivator, and role model, capable of driving performance and communicating effectively across all levels. You will also be the primary person for training and upskilling your team.
