Grade: M
Contract Type: Permanent (Full-Time)

Salary: £38,223
Shift patterns: 4-week rota including weekend working (see below)
Location: Stoke on Trent ST4 2TP

DHL, an award-winning leading supply chain business, is seeking a Transport Shift Manager to coordinate our daily logistics requirements. The ideal candidate should possess comprehensive knowledge of supply chain management practices and a strong understanding of transport procedures in a busy environment.

What does the role entail?

• Supporting the Transport Manager to ensure fully compliant operations, operational excellence, and efficient transport management within budget, maintaining first-class service to meet contract and customer expectations.
• Achieving targets, ensuring timely deliveries, maintaining team morale, meeting personal development goals, and ensuring compliance.
• Managing a team of 3 First Line Managers, overseeing work activities, providing leadership, motivation, training, and development.
• Responsible for the shift operation's delivery, ensuring efficient and customer-focused service.
• Analyzing reports against KPIs and advising on improvements.
• Promoting a culture of continuous improvement, sharing ideas and best practices.

• A recognized qualification in Supply Chain Management or Logistics is advantageous
