Transport Planner – Temp to Perm (12 weeks)



Salary: up to £34,000 PA (based on experience)

Shift: Monday to Friday 0900-1800/1000-1900

Your Role:

* Planning and scheduling daily collections and deliveries using the most cost-effective routes and resources.
* Coordinating with drivers, warehouse teams, and customers to ensure timely and efficient transport operations.
* Monitoring vehicle movements, updating systems and resolving any issues that arise during the day.
* Ensure compliance with transport regulations, driver hours and company policies.
* Managing day-to-day issues of the remote driver workforce.
* Daily liaison with line managers to identify operational exceptions and implement solutions.
* Balancing own fleet use and sub-contraction.



What we need from you:

* Minimum of 1 years’ experience in a transport planning role, ideally within the parcel or courier industry.
* Strong organisational and communication skills
* Ability to work under pressure and adapt to changing schedules
* Good knowledge of transport regulations and driver compliance
* Excellent IT skills





In this fast-paced environment, you will be responsible for delivering exceptional service to a diverse Customer base. The ability to think laterally and make sound decisions will be essential. Additionally, you'll need the aptitude to develop a detailed understanding of the operation and the specific characteristics of the broader sector.
