Transport Planner

Location: Felixstowe

Salary: £35,000 per annum + Annual Bonus

Working Hours: Monday – Friday, 08:30 – 17:30

Role Overview

Our client, a leading and highly respected privately owned logistics provider, is seeking an experienced Transport Planner to join their operations in Felixstowe.

Our client is known for its commitment to technology-driven supply chain solutions and high service standards. This role is ideal for a proactive professional who excels in a fast-paced environment and possesses a deep understanding of UK road haulage and container movements.

Key Responsibilities
  • Efficiently plan and route vehicle movements to ensure maximum fleet utilization and cost-effectiveness.
  • Coordinate the timely collection and delivery of goods, primarily focusing on container logistics.
  • Manage and develop relationships with third-party hauliers and subcontractors, including rate negotiation.
  • Act as a central point of contact for drivers, providing clear instructions and resolving on-road issues as they arise.
  • Ensure all operations remain fully compliant with VOSA regulations, tachograph rules, and driver hours.
  • Maintain real-time data accuracy within the company’s Transport Management System (TMS) to ensure total visibility for the customer service teams.
