Berry Recruitment Group, on behalf of a leading logistics and distribution company, is seeking a Network Planner in Essex to join a busy team.
You will coordinate and optimise the collection and delivery of palletised freight across regional and national networks, using TMS software to maximise vehicle capacity and ensure on-time, cost-efficient deliveries.
Typical hours are Mon-Fri, 45 hours with alternating early/late shifts; 28 days holiday plus up to three performance bonuses per year.
Our client a leading logistics and distribution company are looking for a network Planner to join their busy team. You will be responsible for coordinating and optimising collection and delivery of palatalised freight across the regional and national network ensuring cost effective and on time deliveries and collections.
Monday to Friday 45hrs a week (Alternate early/late shift 06.00-16.00 and 10.00 to 20.00 (1 hr lunch)
36000 to 40000 p.a. depending on experience. Up to 3 bonuses per year depending on company performance.
The job will involve,
Route Planning. Implement effective multi drop delivery and collection using TMS and planning software.
Coordinate high volume pallet counts maximising vehicle capacity, weight limits, and timed delivery windows.
Communicate clearly with drivers with briefs and debriefs as well as run progress reports.
Liaise clearly and professionally with hubs, network depots and end clients.
Be able to trouble shoot and problem solve live delivery issues.
The ideal candidate will ideally have previous experience in a transport office or as a driver with transferable schools.
A strong understanding of Transport legislation inc WTD etc.
Proficient in IT and knowledge of TMS systems.
