Job summary

Berry Recruitment Group is seeking a Network Planner for a leading logistics client in Thornwood Common to join a busy team. The role involves route planning, coordinating pallets, and liaising with hubs and drivers to ensure timely deliveries.

The ideal candidate will have transport planning experience, strong IT skills, and a good understanding of transport legislation. Monday–Friday, 45 hours per week, with up to 3 bonuses per year and 28 days leave.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of route optimization and delivery windows.
• Strong IT skills and pace to work under pressure.

Responsibilities

• Plan routes and multi-drop deliveries using TMS.
• Coordinate high-volume pallet counts to maximize vehicle capacity.
• Communicate briefs/debriefs with drivers and prepare progress reports.
• Liaise with hubs, depots and end clients and troubleshoot live issues.

Job description

Our client a leading logistics and distribution company are looking for a network Planner to join their busy team.

Monday to Friday 45hrs a week (Alternate early/late shift #removed# and 10.00 to 20.00 (1 hr lunch)).

£36000 to £40000 p.a. depending on experience. Up to 3 bonuses per year depending on company performance.

The job will involve,

• Route Planning. Implement effective multi drop delivery and collection using TMS and planning software.
• Coordinate high volume pallet counts maximising vehicle capacity, weight limits, and timed delivery windows.
• Communicate clearly with drivers with briefs and debriefs as well as run progress reports.
• Liaise clearly and professionally with hubs, network depots and end clients.
• Be able to trouble shoot and problem solve live delivery issues.

The ideal candidate will ideally have previous experience in a transport office or as a driver with transferable schools.

A strong understanding of Transport legislation inc WTD etc.

Proficient in IT and knowledge of TMS systems.
